Picavi introduces another new feature in its ecosystem: Picavi Alerts automatically notify the control center when a predefined process is triggered in the warehouse and offer significant time savings for intralogistics communications.
The need to report and correct occasional missing quantities is a common challenge for everyday warehousing operations. In this case, changes are made to the warehouse management system on the technical side that require the control center to be informed in advance. If a warehouse employee wants to make a quantity correction, they must interrupt their current workflow. Only after manual approval by the control center can the picker continue their value-adding activity – this disruption costs valuable time and energy. Picavi Alerts can minimize this disruption considerably by automatically notifying the control station which can then approve the processes remotely, without contact, and in real time.
Picavi Alerts can be set up for each “if-then” scenario in the warehouse. Users can define for themselves which process steps the control center must be automatically informed about. The only requirement is the use of Picavi Pick-by-Vision in combination with Picavi Cockpit, the business intelligence solution. “Via the mobile device management integrated into Picavi Cockpit, we can specifically adapt Picavi Alerts to the individual requirements of customers,” explains Carsten Funke, Chief Sales Officer at Picavi. “Initial pilot applications of Picavi Alerts are already showing that they can save an enormous amount of time in communication with the control center.”
