Picavi is introducing Safety Alerts, a new AI-powered feature in its pick-by-vision ecosystem that saves valuable time when medical emergencies occur. It automatically notifies the control center if a warehouse worker is in a medical distress situation.
A collision, a fall or sudden circulatory problems – if a worker in the warehouse has an accident or stops moving, help is needed quickly. Pick-by-vision expert Picavi has developed the self-learning feature Safety Alerts for this purpose: When the sensors in the smart glasses show an incidence pattern, a health query is automatically sent to the employee. If the employee does not respond within a predefined period of time, the control center is informed and also receives the last location of the worker. The personnel in the control center can then immediately take care of the employee and quickly initiate any assistance measures that may be required.
Safety Alerts are part of the Picavi Cockpit business intelligence solution. In addition to tools for the management and administration of the smart glasses fleet, the software has an analytics feature that offers companies numerous possibilities: Picavi Cockpit makes it possible to identify optimization potential in the warehouse at an early stage and also to integrate numerous aids for greater ergonomics, for example in order picking. This now also includes Picavi Safety Alerts, which take advantage of the fact that sensors on the smart glasses record process parameters in real time. From now on, these will be used to provide even faster assistance in the event of an emergency in the warehouse.
