It was that time of year again. The International Supply Chain Conference, the annual meeting point for the logistics sector, was in Berlin for the 36th year. As the market leader for order picking with smart glasses in intralogistics, it is an event we cannot afford to miss. This year’s motto, “Inspire – Encourage – Act” perfectly matches the story of our start-up.
Our story began with the clever idea of optimizing warehouse processes with pick-by-vision technology. On the evening before the congress began, we held our traditional Picavi networking event in the “Das Stue” hotel to get everyone in the mood for the exciting days to come in the German capital. Countless Picavi customers responded to our invitation and attended the informal get-together. Food, drinks and a relaxing atmosphere created the perfect occasion to talk business and make new contacts.
Our special guest from the Silicon Valley
The highlight of the evening was the address given by our star guest Ram Motipally from Google. The Glass Enterprise Edition 2 has been the flagship of our range of smart glasses since the summer. That is why Picavi CEO Jens Harig emphasized the importance of the cooperation between Picavi and Google in his welcome address. Ram Motipally agreed and praised Picavi as a reliable and innovative partner for the long term. He explained that the Glass Enterprise Edition 2 and its predecessors would not have enjoyed such success without the pioneering work of companies like Picavi. Motipally sees wearable technology as the future of information collection and processing. The B2B sector is key to the next stage of its development, with logistics a particularly promising environment for innovation. With this in mind, the highly successful partnership with Picavi is set to continue and grow.
LogiMAT is just around the corner!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended and made this evening so special. The event could not have been so successful without you. We are now looking forward with great anticipation to LogiMAT in Stuttgart next year and to our next Get-Together on March 10th, 2020.
